Police cracking down on missing deportees

The Police Department said it would crack down on deportees who failed to report regularly to the cops…and now they’re making good on that threat. According to authorities, they are looking for at least eleven people who have failed to comply with the reporting requirements. Four of those pictured who served time for serious crimes in the States before being returned to Belize are Dean Dougal, whose last known address was one-oh-nine Neal Pen Road, Kimala Henry of six-thirty Lavender Street, Reginal Williams Jr. and Arthur Young. Also sought by police are Shermaine Slusher, Dwight Panton, Mark Ferguson, Leo Lee Baptist, Winston Budd, Lionellia Garbutt and Joseph Estrada, all of Belize City. Viewers are reminded that deportees have not been convicted of any crime in Belize, but are required to check in regularly with police for six months after their repatriation. If they do not, they are liable for fines and even imprisonment.
