Bernadine Lauriano anticipated death – but who is her killer?

Fifty-two-year-old Bernadine Lauriano was shot and killed inside her home last Friday, as she sat in the living room with her two children. The mother of seven was injured multiple times when a lone assailant entered their yard on Aloe Vera Street and opened fire on them. Her daughter nine-year-old Bernadine Lauriano was injured while her son Denzel Lauriano, who is a special needs person, was grazed in the shooting. It is believed that the shooting incident was triggered by a longstanding dispute that one of her sons is engaged in with others in the neighborhood. While family members say she yelled out the name of her attacker during the gunfire, police have not been able to make an arrest.  Lauriano’s grieving brother told News Five on Tuesday that she feared for her life because of her son’s feud.

“Up to now police are still investigating this matter and again, like I mentioned, we are still appealing to the public.  We know that there are several persons there who saw what happened in both incidents that we have just reported.  Again, if you have any information you can feel free to call 911 or 922 Tips and we will gladly follow it up so that we can see how we could best assist the victims of these crimes.”

“…and apparently she called out the name of her attacker?”

“As I had mentioned to you, we have to go based on the evidence that we have and that is the only thing that we do not have at this moment.  Yes, there are allegations of so many things, but that is not in evidence so far.”
