New Capital Gets Interim Leader as Senior Superintendent Vows to End “Carnage” in Old Capital

So who will take over from Gillett at the Belmopan Formation; and will Superintendent Daniel Arzu remain as Deputy Regional Commander at Eastern Division South? Here’s that update from Gillett.

“I am not aware that anybody has been identified to take over the post at Belmopan. I believe there is an interim fix, but there is nothing permanent as yet. I believe Superintendent Sutherland will hold over for a few months until his transfer later on in July. I believe. So there is not a permanent fix as yet. In terms of Belize City, there is Superintendent Arzu; he is there as the deputy. I don’t intend to change anything if it is working. So we’ll go in and look at it and we want the very best for south side. The carnage must stop, but we have to do so with the support of the community. All stakeholders include, I believe we will achieve that end.”

The moving up of Gillett means that other changes are taking place at the top of the department. Chester Williams is the new Deputy ComPol Deputy for operations, while Broaster is deputy ComPol for Administration.  ACP Dezeree Phillips will be in charge of Management Services.
