Deluge leaves city waterlogged
We were a city under water today as more than four inches of rain fell in the space of twelve hours. The deluge quickly inundated several streets and caused at least one school to close early. The Philip Goldson International Airport recorded four point three inches of rain, while Melinda posted four point eight-seven inches. Residents living near rivers are asked to watch for flash flooding as several major rivers are already rising. According to the met service, more rain is forecasted for tonight, but the good news is the weather should improve significantly by the weekend.
