Alejandro Lauriano Charged in Double Female Murder
On Friday, C.I.B. detectives picked up and arrested nineteen-year-old Alejandro Lauriano in the village of Rockstone Pond on the Old Northern Highway. He and another man known by the nickname “Peanuts” were sought for the double murder of sixty-four-year-old Theresita Flowers and seventeen-year-old Delcia Blanco, who were fatally shot inside a home on Tibruce Street on March seventeenth. Lauriano, an electrician of Aloe Vera Street, was this morning charged with two counts of murder and arraigned before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford. As the charges are indictable and subject to preliminary inquiry no plea was taken. Lauriano was immediately remanded to the Central Prison until May thirtieth, 2018. Police are said to be relying on an eyewitness account of the incident. Two others injured in the shooting were Shaneiqua Ramclam and Daniel Hughes, who have made no police report thus far to lay charges and when police spoke with Hughes, he denied any involvement in the murder and was released from police guard at the K.H.M.H. after treatment. Police continue their search for the second suspect whose identity they now know.
