Senior citizen murdered in his home at eight miles

Seventy-three year old Alvin Robinson was brutally killed inside his room—a detached structure about a hundred yards away from the family house—when two men allegedly stabbed him several times to the neck in retaliation for the actions of a couple of his relatives. Shortly before ten that night, Robinson’s granddaughter, Viannie Majil, made the dreadful discovery while taking him supper. Majil says she was shocked when she saw her grandfather covered in blood and immediately ran for help.

Duane Moody
“Revenge on a seventy-three year old man?”
Cpl. Everon Tek
“He wasn’t the target. He wasn’t the intended target.
Duane Moody
“But yet he was killed and stabbed several times to the neck noh?”
Cpl. Everon Tek
“Right. There was an altercation earlier with Gregory August and Dwayne Almendarez with a set from Sunset Park who usually visits the Robinson family. Investigation has revealed that this set from Sunset Park pulled a fire arm at Gregory August who was at the residence drinking along with the Robinsons. They road off stating that they’ll be back. They came back through the feeder road earlier and did not find the Sunset Crew. Mr. Robinson was at the wrong place at the wrong time. they went there with the intention to provoke a fight with one Andrew Smith and Tyron Ramsey who was at the yard at the time.”
The two persons detained are notorious for criminal activities in the 8 Miles Area and according to Tek turned themselves in on Sunday.
Cpl. Everon Tek
“Presently one is Dwayne Almendarez, better known as ‘Tunks’, and the other is one Gregory August. Both are detained pending charges. They hand in themselves the next morning, Sunday morning.”
Duane Moody
“With the murder weapon?”
Cpl. Everon Tek
“We managed to locate the murder weapons whilst at the crime scene.”
Duane Moody
“Where was it found, sir?”
Cpl. Everon Tek
“It was found about three hundred feet away from the murder scene.”
Duane Moody
“I understand they gained access through a feeder road through the back?”
Cpl. Everon Tek
“That is correct?”
August and Almendarez will be charged for murder. Duane Moody Reporting for News Five.
