Police Lay Charges in Border Drug Bust

Four persons have been charged in connection with the drug bust made at the northern border on Wednesday night. Blancaneaux Maudel, Michelle Benguche, Kenyon Lewis and Phylmore King were charged with importation of drugs, drug trafficking and unlicensed ammunition. As we reported this week, Corozal Police were tipped about two vehicles traveling from Chetumal which were carrying almost sixty pounds of cannabis. They searched both vehicles in which the Hattieville residents were traveling and found the drugs concealed in two spare tires along with twenty-eight rounds of point three-eighty ammunition.
