Dangriga Man Bailed for Unlawful Sex Act

Dangriga resident Hezron Ellis is out on bail of five thousand dollars, three months after being charged with having unlawful sexual intercourse with a female minor. The twenty-one-year-old was told by Supreme Court Justice Marilyn Williams to report to the Dangriga Police Station every Friday, effective next week Friday, until his case concludes. He was also ordered to not interfere with any prosecution witnesses in any way and he is also not to interfere with the virtual complainant, either directly or indirectly. This includes any contact on social media and being within a hundred yards of the complainant, her workplace, home or school or other public areas. Ellis, represented by Oswald Twist, was first arraigned in December and remanded. However, the D.P.P.’s office did not object today. Ellis returns to court in Dangriga on May twenty-ninth.
