Freak accident kills Dangriga man
A freak accident on the Hummingbird Highway has claimed the life of a Dangriga man. Fifty-five year old Ruben Rosado was killed when a parked vehicle rolled backwards down a hill and ran him over. Rosado was a passenger in a Ford pickup which was towing another vehicle down the Hummingbird toward Dangriga. According to the driver, around mile twenty-nine a low hanging electrical wire caught on the lead truck and the towed vehicle somehow became unhitched. Rosado was among the passengers who got out to investigate and wound up behind the rolling mass of metal. Also hit was Augustine Liu, Junior, who was taken to Belmopan Hospital with shoulder injuries.
