Two Chinese shops held-up over weekend
Chinese owned businesses in Cayo and Stann Creek were also hit by armed robbers over the weekend. On Friday night twenty-four year old Tom Wu had his nine millimetre pistol, cell phone and an undisclosed quantity of cash stolen by a pair of men described as Hispanic in appearance. One of the jackers hit Wu over the head with the butt of his gun, knocking him out.
On the same night in Dangriga, Hong Mei Cheng was held up by two dark skinned men who entered her shop and demanded money at gunpoint. They left with cash and her gold chain. Police are seeking one suspect in the Dangriga jacking and continue to investigate the Cayo hold-up.
