School computer programme moves ahead slowly
With all the hullabaloo surrounding B.T.L.’s corporate clashes, we haven’t heard much from approaching rival INTELCO. Today that company officially inaugurated its computer centre at Saint Ignatius primary school in Belize City. The programme, which is slated to put five thousand computers in schools nationwide, is well behind its original schedule and we are told by INTELCO Chairman Glenn Godfrey that it will not be completed until mid 2003. INTELCO, already installed in many government offices, is licensed to offer service to the public as of the first day of the new year.
