Burglar caught red-handed, shoots homeowner
Meanwhile in the west, a woman who caught a thief in the act remains in serious condition after the man shot her. Police say
that on Saturday morning, forty-nine year old Lynn Routhe arrived at her house in the Pilgrim Valley Community of the Cayo District only to find someone she knew trying to break into her house. The man turned on her, pulling out a handgun and shooting Routhe in the stomach. Routhe was transported to the San Ignacio Hospital and later transferred to the K.H.M.H. where she remains in serious condition. The suspect in this case has yet to be detained.
