Corozal shooting leaves one dead

Tonight, Corozal police are investigating an early morning shooting that has left one man dead. According to the authorities, just after 1:00 this morning, residents living in the South End area of Corozal town heard the blast of gunshots and called the cops. When the police patrolled the vicinity they found a man lying on the ground with wounds to his chest and right arm. The man was rushed to the Corozal hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival. The body has since been identified as thirty-two year old Alfonso Siguenza, a resident of Ranchito Village. At news time tonight, no arrests have been made, but police have one person detained for questioning.
