Jewelry Shop in Chetumal’s Plaza Las Americas Robbed
The popular Plaza de las Americas, in the northwest corner of Chetumal, is a favorite of Belizeans for some of the best deals in the trendy shopping destination. On Monday, it was the scene of a successful robbery. Chetumal media reports say the popular Bizarro Jewelry Shop was hit around two in the afternoon, where thieves posed as workers in a parcel company to enter and steal jewelry and watches. Despite the police patrols in the area, the robbers managed to escape.
