“Yankee” Goes to Court for Albert Johnson Murder
Police have quickly cracked the mysterious murder of twenty-seven-year-old Albert Johnson, originally from Punta Gorda Town. Today, West Canal resident Marlon Everett, a twenty-eight-year-old construction worker, was read a murder charge before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford. According to police, a trio ambushed Johnson on Rectory Lane as he was walking from Southern Foreshore to Regent Street, and one of the attackers fired two gun shots at him, hitting him in the forehead and the back of the head. It took place just before midnight, but it is not yet clear who wanted Johnson dead and why. Everett returns to court on June twenty-fifth.
