1 Pleads Guilty for Bag of Weed
Four men were charged but one, twenty-eight-year-old Adam Estell of Sittee Street, pleaded guilty to possession of half a pound of marijuana. A police search of Estell’s residence on Wednesday night uncovered a black plastic bag on top of an old washing machine which contained four plastic bags with the suspected drugs. Also charged with Estell were forty-four-year-old Kevin Sebastian; eighteen-year-old Malique Medwood of Ebony Street and a fifteen year-old minor. Estell, pleading guilty, told Magistrate Kadeen Palmer that he personally does not own the drugs and that it belonged to someone else who was not there at the time of the search. But he added that since it was found in his yard and the others did not know about it, he, Estell, would own up to it. Magistrate Palmer fined him two thousand dollars due by October first, 2018, in default six months’ imprisonment. He must also repay the court for a previous fine with a balance of four hundred and five dollars.
