Belize and U.S.A. sign narcotics pact
Belize and the United States have signed an agreement under which Belize will be assisted in fighting the illicit drug trade. Three projects funded to the tune of four hundred and thirty-four thousand U.S. dollars will be initiated to strengthen the Police Department’s ability to intercept and prosecute drug runners. Signing this afternoon on behalf of the two countries were acting Prime Minister Johnny BriceƱo and U.S. Ambassador Russell Freeman.
