It has been twelve weeks of grueling competition, and the grand finale of Masters of the Floor, from the Street Lights to the Stage Lights, takes place at our Church Street Yaad this Saturday. The big question is who will be the new Master of the Floor?
Will it be the smooth and quintessential dancer, Sheldon Bodden who has impressed the crowd with his creativity and consistency throughout the competition?
Will it be Sidney Tucker? Despite all odds, this rookie has grown to greater heights in his dancing and has managed to wow the crowd.
Or will it be the entertainer of the bunch, Charlys Nunez? “Ninja’’ as he is known to peers and fans has brought a fun and athletic side to dance through his daredevil stunts.
We got close and personal with the three and looked at their strengths and weaknesses.

“What do you do? I am currently attending S.J.C.J.C. Sixth Form and Im enrolled in the General Studies Program. I think it’s been fun, very fun. I get to express my many ways that I feel.”

“What do you feel is your strength in this competition?”

It’s been kind of rough because of school but it’s been very challenging. I’ve been dancing now for a year and three months. My personal style is waving and popping. I show my personality on stage. I like to show comedy but still dance.”

Charlys Nunez
“Sheldon, because he really bring it because he really bring it. I like how he bring it too cause he just mek I get hype up.”
The sit-down with the three finalists revealed that the competition is more than just a dance challenge; but an opportunity for self advancement.

“ I plan to further my education and just use the money wisely.”
Sidney Tucker, Finalist, Masters of the Floor
