Father Remanded for Incest with Daughter, 13

A forty-two-year-old fisherman is accused of incest with his daughter, thirteen years old. He was read the indictable charge before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford and no plea was taken. The incident allegedly took place in December of 2017, when the child was thirteen years and four months of age. However, it was only just reported over the weekend when the child’s mother took her to police. The child visits with her father in a village outside of the city.  Due to the nature of the offense, bail was denied and the father was remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until August seventh.
