Robbery at Madisco suspected to be inside job
An apparent inside job at the Madisco Marketing Distribution Company Limited has cost the company over twenty-three thousand dollars worth of stock. Operations Manager, John Nicholson, reported to police that after making inventory checks at the company’s warehouse, he discovered that twelve cases of Colonial and Independence cigarettes were stolen from the premises. A review of the security cameras revealed that on May fourteenth between eight and ten a.m., several employees allegedly stole the cigarettes. It is also alleged that they later sold the cigarettes to a Chinese businessman for sixteen thousand dollars. The accused culprits: warehouse manager, Emiliano Ack; driver, Solemne Chun; and employee Earl Gill were arrested and charged for Theft. But today, when the trio appeared in court, they all pleaded not guilty to the charge and were each offered bail of four thousand dollars. The case was adjourned until July sixth.
