Fisherman’s Body Found Off Harvest Caye

A postmortem examination is pending following further investigation into a body found on Monday morning off the Placencia peninsula. Reports are that the remains of a man, who has since been identified as Juan Cordero Caducio, was seen floating near Harvest Caye in southern Belize. The seventy-three-year-old naturalized Belizean left his home on the peninsula and went fishing on Sunday in his skiff, but never returned. There were no visible signs of injury on Casucio’s body, which was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital Morgue where it awaits an autopsy.
