New book on George Price launches Saturday

It may not be a massive public event, but the launching of a new book on Saturday could not have come at a more appropriate time. A profile of George Price entitled “Man of the People” does not pretend to be an objective analysis of the Father of the Nation, but the personal profile by Rudy Castillo offers a glimpse of Price which has never before appeared in print. Castillo, who held a number of high positions in government and still works in the Foreign Ministry, has known the former Prime Minister for over sixty years. His unique collection of insights and anecdotes should be required reading for any student of history or politics. The volume, printed and published locally, goes on sale Monday at the Book Centre in Belize City and shortly thereafter at outlets nationwide.
