Post-mortem inconclusive in baby death
Police say their investigation into the death of six-month-old Amber Brittaney Camal continues. On Monday evening a post-mortem examination conducted on the baby’s body proved inconclusive. According to authorities, tissue samples have been taken and further tests will need to be conducted in order to determine the exact cause of death. Baby Camal died several hours after she became ill, while being taken care of at her babysitter’s house. In an interview on Monday, Rory Camal, the baby’s father, told News 5 that when he went to pick up his daughter around five-thirty on Friday evening, the care giver, Debbie Godfrey told him that the baby had swallowed some pills and was at the hospital. At the K.H.M.H. Camal reports that Godfrey’s daughter told him that the baby swallowed three anti-depressants.
