Accountant Targeted in Palmar

Joseph Myvett

A thirty-two-year-old accountant from San Jose Palmar Village in Orange Walk District was the victim of a shooting on Wednesday night.  Jose Oscar Santana says he was inside his yard when someone from across the street opened fire at him. The gunman reportedly hid within an overgrown lot before taking aim at the unsuspecting man, injuring him to the right arm. Santana was taken to the Northern Regional Hospital where he was treated before he discharged himself from the health facility. ACP Joseph Myvett says that Orange Walk investigators retrieved eight expended shells from the scene.
