Third victim dies from highway mishap

A third accident victim has died of injuries suffered in a traffic mishap on Tuesday night on the Northern Highway. Twenty-two year old Vernancio Martinez, driver of the tractor which was hit by a gas truck, died Wednesday evening at the K.H.M.H. Meanwhile, the driver of the truck, forty-eight year old Elijo Tun of San Jose Palmar, has been charged with three counts of manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct, driving without due care and attention and negligent grievous harm. The accident occurred when the truck and a bus tried to overtake the tractor towing a trailer full of logs and a number of workmen.
