U.B. Launches Transformational Plan
The University of Belize has unveiled a new concept which will see the country’s national tertiary institution taking a transformational leap over the next six years. Earlier today, UB introduced a suite of new undergraduate programs in areas of study which include entrepreneurship, agriculture, public health nursing and geographic information systems. Focusing on what it calls the Four Rs: Reach, Responsibility, Responsiveness and Relevance, the university continues to work towards being cost-effective. The goal is to build and embed quality as UB applies for institutional accreditation. It is anticipated that the foundation for these changes would have been laid by 2022.
