Toledo woman charged with murder of baby

In other police news, a mother from the Toledo District has been arrested and charged with the murder of her own child. In April of this year, Punta Gorda police detained twenty-four year old Juliana Choc after she gave birth to a baby in an outdoor toilet and left it there. The dead body of the newborn was later found lying face down in the latrine. At the time of the incident it could not be determined if the baby was in fact born alive, so Choc was only charged with concealment of birth. However, subsequent investigations have now proved that the child was breathing at birth and charge of murder has been brought against Choc.
