Resource book on Belize published

The Belize Tourism Board has also been busy working on another project. Their latest publication, Belize Today: Its History, Culture and Ecosystems is an adaptation of the National Tour Guide Training Manual. According to B.T.B.’s curriculum specialist, Clara Louise Pastor, the book will provide teachers and students with invaluable resource materials.

“As a former personnel of the Ministry of Education, I am aware of the fact that resource is usually scare in the schools. So when I came to work at the Belize Tourism Board, the training unit in particular, I saw the National Tour Guide Manual and realised that is a wealth of well research information.”

“The overall objective is to present a comprehensive book for teachers. There is information in there that can be used for geography, you have science in the natural history form, history and social studies.”

Copies of Belize Today will be available at book stores countrywide and at all district tourism training unit offices.
