Policeman Arrested in Dispute in Cayo
Twenty-seven-year-old Police Constable Leonard Benjamin, a resident of Santa Elena Town, was arrested and charged for aggravated assault earlier today. PC Benjamin is accused of pointing a service weapon at his colleague during a heated exchange inside the San Ignacio Police Station on May twenty-fourth. The report was made by fellow policeman Obed Arzu, following an argument during which it was alleged that Arzu provided Benjamin’s girlfriend’s phone number to a cadet officer. While PC Benjamin is being dealt with internally, criminal charges have since been filed against him.

“Okay, and the thirteen-year-old that was shot by police. Do you have any updates on his charges?”
Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino
“He’s still at the hospital. As soon as he is released then those charges will be levied or he will be arraigned in regards to that matter.”
