Marvin Moguel shot during alleged drug deal gone bad
A Belize City businessman is hospitalized after he was allegedly involved in a drug deal gone bad. He is thirty year old Marvin Isaac Moguel and police investigations have so far revealed that he was with another businessman, fifty-five year old Charles Daniel of Los Lagos, when he was shot. Moguel and Daniels were in the Orange Walk District, allegedly conducting a drug transaction with two Hispanic men from Carmelita Village inside a 2005 Chevy SUV. But things didn’t go as planned and the four men got into an altercation that ended with Moguel being shot twice in the lower back. He was transported to the Northern Regional Hospital, where he is currently admitted to ward. Meanwhile, police searched the vehicle and discovered a nine millimetre Ruger brand pistol, which is licensed to Moguel, along with sixteen live rounds of ammunition. The cops also found just over two pounds of suspected cocaine and have arrested and charged Charles Daniels with Drug Trafficking.
