Man is Targeted by Gunman Following Altercation in Belmopan
Belmopan police are investigating a shooting incident over the weekend during which a vehicle was damaged after being struck by multiple bullets. According to thirty-four-year-old James Wagner he was hanging out in the May Garden neighborhood when he got into a misunderstanding with a group of men. They left and returned sometime later and sprayed his vehicle with bullets. ACP Myvett told the media this morning, that one man has since been detained in connection with the shooting.

“Also on Saturday, June 16th, shortly after 11:20 p.m., one James Wagner, thirty-four-years-old of a Belmopan address reported that whilst he was socializing at the May Garden Park in Belmopan City, he had an altercation with several persons. Thereafter, those persons left the area and some thirty minutes later, he heard several gunshots which caused him to hide behind his vehicle after which he noticed that his vehicle received several damages from bullets. Police have since detained one person and this investigation is ongoing.”
