Police confiscate more guns
We don’t usually report gun seizures, but police were unusually busy and successful over the weekend. On Friday evening they searched a Belize City hotel room and found three nine millimetre pistols, two Colts and one Smith and Wesson along with fifteen rounds of ammo. The residents of the room, described only as foreigners, have not been found. On Friday night a traffic stop resulted in the confiscation of another loaded nine-millimetre pistol and the two occupants of the car have been detained. And finally, on Saturday a street search of fifty-two year old Guy Bishop of Belize City found him in possession of a loaded thirty-eight-calibre revolver. He has been charged with keeping an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.
