Village Chairman Trying to Mediate Lemonal Dispute

In speaking with News Five on Thursday, the village chairman emphasized a need for residents to follow the procedures that have been set out for land acquisition.  The feud, he says, has pitted members of the Banner and Anthony families against each other.  Despite the injuries he received in a traffic mishap recently, he has been forced to come out of bed rest to mediate the dispute.

“It has gotten to a point where the graves, the tombs at the cemetery here in Lemonal have been defaced because of this ongoing situation.  Talk to us about that as the village chairman, to try to bring an end to this issue.”
