Moneygram in Ladyville Hit by Armed Thief

Another business has been hit by robbers. Since the beginning of the month, we have been reporting on a considerable spike in the number of armed robberies which have seemingly moved from Belize City to its surrounding communities. This morning in Ladyville, an armed robber targeted the Moneygram office at Ramon’s Plaza and relieved the cashier of an undisclosed sum of cash.   It happened sometime after ten o’clock while the location was open for business.  Details of the incident were confirmed by the police department earlier today, however, additional information is sparse.

“I know that there has been a robbery just a while ago at Ramon’s Plaza, the Moneygram office was robbed a while ago by a male person and they took away an undisclosed amount of money.  It just happened about maybe forty-five minutes ago or an hour ago.  That is in the Ladyville area.”
