Mo’s Supermarket Targeted by Armed Thieves in Corozal

Just before the close of business on Monday night, a robbery occurred in the heart of Corozal Town on Fifth Avenue. Shan He, the proprietor of Mo’s Supermarket, was targeted by a pair of armed robbers. According to the Chinese businessman, the two men entered his store with their faces covered; one was armed with what appeared to be a point thirty-eight revolver and held up his wife while the other jumped over the counter and robbed the cash drawer of about one thousand dollars in different denominations. Before escaping from the scene, the robbers also stole a Samsung cell phone valued seven hundred dollars from an employee of the store. No one has been detained as yet for the robbery and Corozal Police continue to investigate.
