Spoken Words 501 to Launch Book of Poems
On Friday, Spoken Words 501, a group of poets from across the country, will be celebrating its fifth anniversary. It is a momentous occasion being marked by the launch of “To the Writers of the World”, a collection of forty poems. The book features the work of twenty artists who have penned life experiences. Founding Member, Margaret Reynolds, told News Five that the book can be considered a ‘must read’.

“It’s a diverse collection. It ranges from life experiences, personal experiences to personal issues, crime, love, it is just too much and you have, for example, Mr. Taegar, he is far beyond us. He is more on the spiritual side of the spectrum.”
Hipolito Novelo
“If anyone reads the book, what should they get out of it in terms of their mindset and moving forward?”
Margaret Reynolds
“Well reading the book, I should say that there is a lot to take from. It gives you a different view of what life is from the other side. Each person within themselves has their own personal experience and you will never understand but reading this book you can definitively then capture a different view of life from someone’s perspective. It would be what I would call a best read.”
The book will be released at the Image Factory in Belize City.
