Brodie’s and Castillo team to help Stella Maris
When Stella Maris School welcomed its new addition on April tenth, the school’s principal was wondering where the money would come from to furnish the home economics programme and buy supplies for the students. All that worry is now in the past as two Belizean grocery giants: James Brodie and Santiago Castillo, presented a cheque worth eleven thousand, three hundred and ninety-five dollars to the school’s principal, Joy Westby. The money came courtesy of a promotion from Kraft Foods.

“We had a holiday recipe book promotion whereby we were asking consumers to donate twenty dollars initially, which changed to ten dollars later on in the promotion. What that was doing is the promotion was going towards assisting the Stella Maris School in equipment and different supplies that they’re going to be needing for the school term this year. Any one Kraft product that consumers purchased, they give a donation of twenty dollars initially and they received a one hundred and fifty page hardcover recipe book. And this book was brought through the courtesy of Kraft Foods International.”
Ninety-three students with special needs stand to benefit from today’s donation.
