BSWaMA to be Returned Crow-footed Office Items and Vehicles
The office of Belize Solid Waste Management Authority was crow-footed recently when it failed to respond to several letters written by attorney Naima Barrow on behalf of Vision Architects. Since winning a lawsuit against the statutory body back in May, BSWaMA had been expected to compensate the firm with a hefty sum of five hundred and eighty thousand dollars. When the company did not hear from BSWaMA, its attorney moved to crow-foot a number of office equipment and vehicles. This morning, both parties, along with their respective legal representatives, appeared before Justice Courtney Abel. At the end of the session, a number of items including office furniture and vehicles were scheduled to be returned to BSWaMA. The argument is whether the items belong to the government or the statutory body.
