2 Persons are Arrested and Charged for the Robbery of New Fortune Restaurant
Belize City police have nabbed two suspects whom they believe were involved in a robbery on King Street on Friday. Twenty-year-old Sherwin Santos was arrested and charged for the daring hold up of New Fortune Restaurant, along with a minor. The heist was perpetrated by a trio of thieves who were caught on surveillance camera. Police say there are trying to identify a third suspect.

“Reference the robbery of the restaurant, New Fortune Restaurant, located at the corner of King Street and West Canal, police arrested two persons for that robbery. One is Sherwin Santos, a twenty-year-old Belizean from King Street and a minor for the crime of robbery.”

“Okay, now we know this had been robbed on January thirtieth, it had been reported on January thirtieth. Were any of these people involved in that last act?”

“No, they are different persons.”

“On a video which was circulating there were three culprits. Are you looking for another suspect?”
ASP Alejandro Cowo
“Yes, we have analyzed the footage, however, we have a difficulty identifying the third person because of the manner the person was dressed. But we are still looking to see if we can identify that person in the video, the third one.”
