Hopkins Resident, Busted in San Pedro, is Charged for Belize City Murder
Two months later, police have cracked the murder of Jason Sutherland which occurred on May third. Twenty-nine-year-old Sutherland was in his yard on Cemetery Road when he was shot by a man who monitored him from a nearby store. Veris Ventura, a resident of Hopkins is facing murder charges after police picked him up a few days ago. It is believed Ventura pulled the trigger after approaching Sutherland to purchase a small amount of weed. Though he attempted to flee, multiple shots were fired hitting him in the abdomen.
