Methodist Chorale releases CD
The Methodist Chorale has released its first compact disc. It’s a compilation of twelve pieces, both religious and secular tunes, ideal, as the title suggests, to usher in the dawn and take you through to sunset. Edison Staine, the chorale’s conductor, says a CD is timely.

“Well we celebrated ten years, and also I celebrated fifty years in music but a year ago. So I thought the best thing to do was to do a CD of favourite tunes, which are hymns across the board, it’s not particularly Methodist hymns. Anybody buying the CD would hear hymns that he or she knows from other denominations as well.”
“The title of the CD is “From Dawn to Sunset”. We begin with “Morning has Broken”. When you play the CD, you will hear in the beginning church bells ushering in the morning. And one of the pieces that I think the choir particularly liked is “I Need Thee Every Hour” and “Jesus Christ our Lord”, which is our highlight piece of the CD. Then it goes appropriately with “Now the Day is Over.”
Copies of the Methodist Chorale’s CD “From Dawn to Sunset” can be bought at Ma Joan’s Day Care at telephone number 223-1256 or from members of the chorale.
