Counterfeit notes spread around nation
Counterfeit tens and twenties continue to show-up in Belizean cash registers at an alarming rate. Since the weekend, bogus bills have been reported showing up at B.T.L., Belize Water Services, Princess Hotel, Lands Department and a bar in Corozal. The serial numbers match those included in the list published last week, with the addition of a new suspicious number: CC934878. Members of the public should jot down those numbers on the screen for quick reference in the event they encounter a bill that just doesn’t feel right.
