Truck driver charged in woman’s death
The driver of a truck that knocked down a lamppost, which fell on a woman and killed her, has been arrested by police. Israeli Chi of Ranchito Village in the Corozal District has been charged with manslaughter by negligence, causing death by careless conduct and driving without due care and attention. Elvira Eck of San Narciso Village died on the spot Monday morning as she waited for a bus near mile seventy-two on the Northern Highway.
