Tropic Air to Fly to Caye Caulker Once More
Tropic Air announced the resumption of its flights to Caye Caulker. In a statement today, President of the local airline John Grief the third said that “now that the renovations to the airstrip are nearing completion, we are happy to let the residents know that we are back and ready to fly more tourists to the island.” November fifteen has been set as the resumption date however, if renovation is completed before schedule, the date will be moved up. According to the statement, Tropic Air has adjusted its schedule to the island with the aim to make it more efficient. The company is also preparing to break ground on a new terminal facility which will allow for the expansion of flights to the island. In September 2017, Tropic Air had suspended flights to Caye Caulker after the island’s airstrip exhibited severe deterioration.
