According to Head Coach Milton Palacio, the opportunity to lead the selection is a proud moment since it allows him to help the younger athletes to build their legacy representing the Jewel.

“The biggest thing with this tournament, I think, we’re just excited and we’re proud to represent Belize.  And myself being the head coach, for me it’s about these guys and they bringing up about all the time that it’s twenty years and I think the last time it was our team that won CARICOM and now it’s these guys’ turn.  It’s not about that anymore, it’s about 2018 and they set their legacy.  So I won’t be long or anything like that but I just want to say how prideful and how honored I am to represent the country and to lead this great group of men.”
