Belizean Businessman Busted with AK-47 Rifles in Melchor de Mencos

A Belizean businessman was busted with an AK-47, ammunition, drugs and thousands of dollars in different currencies in Melchor de Mencos, Guatemala. Thirty-three-year-old Francisco Javier de la Ho Duarte along with forty-three-year-old Aolibama Mengibar were captured in a raid conducted by police in Melchor de Mencos on Tuesday night. Police found the duo with two rifles and seventy five rounds of ammunition. They were also found with more than fourteen thousand Quetzales, over four hundred Lempiras, one hundred Mexican pesos, twenty Soles, more than one thousand four hundred U.S. dollars and over two thousand dollars in Belize currency. Police also found two ounces of marijuana and several tech devices such as two computers and twelve cell phones. De la Ho Duarte is reportedly a well known businessman of Benque Viejo del Carmen.
