San Fa Construction Supplies in Corozal Town Hit by 4 Robbers
Since Monday, there have been two robberies in the Corozal District; and although they were miles apart, in both instances four armed men held up the proprietors of the Chinese-owned business establishments. The first incident occurred on Monday evening around four-thirty p.m. in San Andres Village at San Fa Construction Supplies. According to the proprietor, thirty-three-year-old Hsien Ching Wu, four masked men entered the hardware store armed with guns and stole over six hundred dollars in cash and two cell phones. ACP Joseph Myvett says that there were no security cameras at the store.

“Information was received that the San Fa Construction Supplies Store located on san Andres Road in Corozal Town was entered into by four armed men, dressed in camouflage clothing who entered the store and demanded money. As a result, an undisclosed amount of coins was stolen from the cashier after which the assailants made good their escape into the nearby bushes. Police investigation into this matter is ongoing. We are following leads but at this time, there are no named suspects.”

“No, none that we know of. We know that there are other security measures. We know that there is a power gate at the establishment, but there are no cameras at the establishment.”
