Drug Bust in Teakettle

On Thursday, police seized one hundred and nineteen grams of cannabis from a Teakettle resident in the Cayo District. During a patrol in the village, police spotted twenty-five year old Gabriel Vasquez, sitting at a bus stop in the village. Vasquez was seen placing a knapsack behind him which when searched contained the four ounces of weed. He is facing a charge of drug trafficking.
In similar circumstances but up north, on Thursday afternoon police searched a bus stop in the village of Ranchito, where they found a plastic bag containing nine hundred and sixty grams of cannabis which is a little over two pounds. No arrests were made since no one was in the area.
