“The other shooting happened last night just after 8:30 p.m. This happened at Arlington Drive, a female was along with her common-law husband outside in their yard when they were approached by a male person.  The female identified herself as Monica Ferguson, a twenty-one-year-old Belizean from 24 Faber’s Road.  She had mentioned to police that she was on the veranda whilst her common-law, along with other friends, were on the other side of the veranda socializing when they observed a male person just entering the yard and firing several shots at her direction causing the injury to her left ankle and her right ankle.  She is admitted in a stable condition at this moment.”

“Has she given any kind of information to indicate why it was that the gunman chose her out of the crowd?”

ASP Alejandro Cowo

“Well that is something that we are looking at, but definitely what we have gathered so far points that indeed she was the target.”
