Fisherman chopped in head in fight over money
A Sunday night fight over borrowed money has left one man suffering from chop wounds to the head. According to fisherman Anibal Chuc, just before 9:00 on Sunday night, he met a man he knew as “Spanish” in the Conch Shell Bay Area in Belize City. Chuc says he asked Spanish for the fifty dollars he had borrowed some time before. But it appears Spanish had a payment plan of his own and took out a machete and chopped Chuc in the head. According to Chuc, Spanish also goes by the name Edwardo. Whatever name he goes by, tonight Chuc’s attacker is still out on the town.
